Are you looking for the best Florida beaches?
Remember, everyone will have a different opinion, so if you are lucky enough, take the time to visit many different beaches to make your decision.
A few of my personal favorites are:
The Siesta Public Beach is one of the best beaches for families. It has gentle slopes and lots of shallow water where kids can run and play, and there are lifeguards on duty nearly all the time. There are areas for picnicking, convenient restrooms with changing areas, concession stands, a large playground, trails for walking and hiking, and volleyball and tennis courts. The south end of the island has an area called Turtle Beach, which is ideal for little ones who would rather collect sea shells than get in the water.
Miami Beach is a great spot for couples looking for romance and relaxation. There are many stylish hotels along South Beach, and you can drive to the Everglades in just a few minutes to check out the wildlife. Upscale shopping is available at Bal Harbor shops, and there are many romantic restaurants nearby. The beach itself offers white sand and cool breezes, and is a great spot to sit and enjoy each other’s company.
Marco Island is another romantic getaway spot, but it is less crowded than many other Florida beaches. It is filled with luxurious hotels, upscale dining, hot nightlife, and tons of activities such as fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, tennis, golf, and of course swimming and water sports.
New Smyrna Beach is the perfect spot for people who want to find a relaxing, slower paced beach spot. The small town of New Smyrna is perfect for strolling through, and the accommodations in the area consist mainly of bed and breakfasts and beach front hotels.
